Panda Climb (2014)

Panda Climb was one of the first programming projects I've worked on end to end, from ideation to publishing. It was also the first time I collaborated with a graphic designer. Created in Android with the LibGDX engine, Panda Climb was the first game I've created during first year of University in 2014.

Started out as an inspiration from a childhood game on a flip phone, created with a touch of my obsessiveness over pandas.

My original thoughts for next steps:

  • Adding a quick onboarding for users to understand the interactions available

  • Fixing the UX for navigating the character as it was very clunky

  • Integrating online high scores for social components

Writing this description page three years later with a little more UX and product knowledge made me realize I was on the right track.

Currently PandaClimb has over 250 downloads on the Google Play Store and is due for a redesign (if I can even find the source code).
