Hey, my name is Tony.
During the day I’m a Product Manager focused on bringing technology to traditional industries so people can do their jobs better.
During other days, I make youtube videos on how to mix drinks (be drunk).
I’m an avid reader, check me out on good reads.
My inspiration for Product Management
I love people. I found software product to be the perfect place where I can help improve people’s lives.
Thanks to dad for getting me my first injection of Steve Jobs at a relatively young age: an iPod touch. Human focused software has been an integral part of my life and led me to develop an interest in software development and eventually studying computer science at the University of Toronto. Throughout school, I found myself to care more about the impact a product can have then actually building it. I was fascinated with people, which led me to studying a ton of psychology.
My career started at Flipp, an app that helps shoppers find deals from retailers. I’ve learned about the fundamentals of product management, working with crossfunctional teams, and identifiying and executing opportunities that can solve customer problems while generating business value. I’ve then had the chance to work at a global accounting software product for small businesses/accountants and bookkeeprs at Xero, where I’ve learned how to start and build a small high performing team, and establish the product strategy and vision for a mature product.
